Introduction

The Kachhi Community Development Association started its activities in 2002 and has several years of experience in working and focusing on issues concerning the Kachhi people. The Kachhi community is a tribal minority people group living in Sindh Province of Pakistan. KCDA began its work by running community-based mother tongue education programs.  
KCDA was formally registered as an NGO in 2005 and continues to be involved in a number of initiatives developed in response to the community’s expressed perceived needs. KCDA is working in 100 villages and expanding into three districts (Mirpurkhas, Sanghar & Tando Allahyar). 25 dedicated staff work for KCDA including 17 community teachers and 10 area animators.
